TOP 10 COMPANIES HIRING THIS WEEK (USA)

A job search can get quite frustrating these days, with so many people competing for too few openings. To ease the burden, AOL Jobs tracked down the 10 top companies that are hiring this week. From sales jobs to finance positions, full-time to part-time, these employers have a plethora of openings they're looking to fill.

1. Tires Plus: 6,691 openingsTires Plus Logo

Based out of Davenport, Iowa, Tires Plus has more than 500 stores in 23 states. Tires Plus offers products for the whole gamut of automobiles, from compacts cars to SUVs. Along with Firestone Complete Auto Care, Tires Plus is owned by Bridgestone Retail Operations. And in sum, Bridgestone is the world's largest chain of company-owned auto care centers.

Employee Review: "The pay is decent and you get good benefits. The atmosphere is friendly. But poor management can often affect morale and lead to poor enthusiasm to do work. The hours are inconsistent and the expect you to bend over for them without question."*

Verizon logo2. Verizon Wireless: 3,569 openings

Verizon Wireless operates the largest mobile network in the United States. The Basking Ridge, New Jersey-based company is a subsidiary of Verizon Communications and Vodafone, although Verizon announced in September that it agreed to buy Vodafone's 45 percent stake in the company for $130 billion. Expected to close in the first quarter of 2014, it is the third largest announced deal in the world, Reuters reported.

Macy's logo3. Macy's: 3,511 openings

The iconic department store is going strong after over 150 years of business, selling mid-price to high-end brands at some 800 locations across the country. Its headquarters are in Cincinnati, Ohio, but its flagship store is in the heart of Manhattan, N.Y.

Employee Review: "The management is competent. Employees are given a good discount and still able to use coupons. You can pick up more hours online when they become available."*

Sovereign Lending Group logo4. Sovereign Lending Group: 3,461 openings

Sovereign Lending Group offers mortgage services that include home purchases, home refinance, second mortgages and home equity loans. The company is based in Irvine, Calif.

It was great place to work and I was able to make the money that I wanted too. Management is consistently improving the marketing even in a high rate environment. ResCare is the nation's largest disabilities services and senior care provider. Employing over 46,000 people, the Louisville, Ky.-based human services company education, vocational training and job placement for people of all ages.

AT&T Logo6. AT&T: 3,192 openings

Wireless giant AT&T continues to hire in large volumes, as many customers upgrade their smartphones and purchase tablets that require LTE data plans. It recently announced that it will be adding more wireless subscribers than expected.

UnitedHealth Group Logo6. UnitedHealth Group: 2,684 openings

UnitedHealth Group currently provides health insurance services to more than 75 million people worldwide and is the largest insurance company of its kind in the U.S. With the onset of states' participation in the Affordable Care Act, the Minnesota-based insurer "has remained especially vague on the number of systems in would participate in," says The Motley Fool, "placing the number somewhere between 10 and 25."

Founded in 1879, Bankers is a life and health insurance company that services the retirement market. It is based in Chicago, Ill., and operates in 275 offices nationwide. The financial company is a subsidiary of CNO Financial Group.

Based in Pittsburgh, the regional bank operates over 2,700 branches in nineteen states and the District of Columbia. The company doubled in size in 2008 when it acquired National City, making it the fifth largest bank in the country.

Chipotle is known for its use of organic meats throughout its more than 1,500 restaurants, which are located in 45 states. Since having been founded in 1993, the chain has since exploded and now counts some 37,000 employees. It is a pioneer in the "fast casual" dining movement.
